Eid is a sacred time of celebration and prayers in Islam. Muslims celebrate two Eids each year. See below for more information.

About Eid

    Eid al Fitr is the celebration of the successful submission to God during the holy month of Ramadan. St. Thomas hosts an Eid Banquet to celebrate Eid al Fitr. The event is open to the entire ÀÇÓÑÊÓƵ community.

    Eid al Adha

    Hajj is a Muslim Pilgrimage at the end of the Islamic calendar. Hajj commemorates the memory of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), and his wife Lady Hagar (Hajira), and his son Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and their submission to God. Successful completion of Hajj in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah is celebrated by all Muslims around the world as Eid al Adha.
