North Field and Koch Diamond
The St. Thomas baseball field doubles as a football practice area, a throwing venue for track & field and a wide variety of intramural sports and physical education classes. The field is adjacent to the O’Shaughnessy Stadium, and sits perfectly in between two of the north campus apartment buildings. Located in the outfield is the track and field throwing location.
A $300,000 renovation project in 2005 was covered through a major gift from former Tommie baseball pitcher David Koch — a 1952 graduate. The renovation included installation of FieldTurf, new seating behind home plate, and a fence along the north side of the field. In 2017, additional improvements were made as new FieldTurf was installed in the infield, and the hitting cages and dugouts were moved and expanded.
Hourly visitor parking is available anytime at the Anderson Parking Facility or Morrison Parking Ramp.
