Cost of Attendance for DFC Students
The following Financial Aid Cost of Attendance (COA) Budget Components are intended to provide estimated allowances of educationally related expenses. These figures are estimates and your actual costs may differ. All figures below reflect information based on a 9-month period of enrollment (i.e. Fall and Spring Semester.) Jterm and Summer costs are additional.

Required Fees | $76 | The amount of required fees. This amount is billed by St. Thomas. |
Books, Supplies, Course Materials and Equipment | $300 | Expected costs for books, course materials, and equipment for a full-time student. This amount is not billed by St. Thomas. |
Food | $1,375 | A standard allowance that represents the cost of food for the student outside of the 2 meals per school day provided by the Dougherty Family College. This amount is not billed by St. Thomas. |
Housing | $9,629 | An estimated cost of rent and utilities for off-campus students. This amount is not billed by St. Thomas. |
Transportation | $700 | An allowance which helps support the cost of transportation. This amount is not billed by St. Thomas. |
Personal/Loan Fees/Miscellaneous Expenses | $1,584 | Miscellaneous personal expenses: An allowance for personal items such as clothing, hygiene needs, cell phone plan, etc. This amount is not billed by St. Thomas. Federal student loan fees: An allowance for the average cost of Federal student loan fees. This amount is deducted from your loan if you decide to borrow. It reduces the loan payment that applies to your bill. |
