- Serve as leaders, allies, and activists for social justice within educational systems and communities.
- Foster transformational learning and innovative programs in educational environments and communities.
- Know and use theory, research and best practice to foster student and adult learning and development.
- Conduct scholarly research to expand the knowledge used to improve learning and educational systems and practices.

- Gain understanding of student development theory and centrality of identity within educational experiences. Apply understanding in practice, particularly related to advising and supporting students.
- Narrate and demonstrate collaborative, student-centered, and ethical practice in student affairs.
